A multi-generational family walking up a grassy hill together at sunset

Church is more than just gathering for worship on Sunday mornings.  It’s about connecting with others and building meaningful relationships.  There are some many ways that people of all ages can grow in fellowship while deepening their journey of faith.  From service projects and outreach to Bible study groups and music ministries, there is something for everyone.

Here’s a listing of some of the great opportunities available at First Fulshear:

Children’s  Ministry

Children are a priority at First Fulshear! Our Children’s Ministry team of experienced teachers, caregivers, and staff are so excited for the opportunity to provide loving, attentive care and instruction for your children on Sunday Mornings, select Wednesday evenings in the Fall and Spring, and during special events! We invite you to explore the numerous opportunities for your family to get involved in this vital ministry, as your children learn about God’s love in an age-appropriate, relevant way.

Youth & Student Ministries

The Lumos Youth Group enables students to come together in a safe and affirming environment so that they may discover their Christian identities and their God-given talents. Our programming and activities are aimed to empower students to live as relevant disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

Men’s Ministry

United Methodist Men

Sometimes it’s great to just connect with the guys. From time to time, ladies enjoy an outing together with just the girls. That special fellowship is valued here at First Fulshear with our Men’s and Women’s Ministry groups. United Methodist Men gather for coffee on periodic Saturday mornings for causal conversation and to work on service oriented projects together. Our United Methodist Women do the same from time to time, seeking to grow in fellowship and faith together.

Music & Worship

At First Fulshear, people from all walks of life find a means of connection to God through worship and music here. In our traditional services, we value the rich, diverse heritage of Christian music. What a gift to our children and youth as we share the ever relevant, timeless texts and melodies of the ages. The great hymns of the faith are such treasures as we offer them as our praise and prayers, acknowledging the unique value of cultivated expression in worship.

There are few things more important than making time for your family. Join us for a family-style meal each week and any of these great small group ministries for all ages. Each Wednesday this fall from September 14 through November 16.

Stephen Ministry

Have you or a friend ever experienced a season in life where you needed a listing ear or someone to share a moment in prayer.  Stephen Ministers are trained members of our congregation who offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times.  A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour.

Outreach & Missions Ministry

A vital part of our church is its commitment to missions and outreach. We are always looking for opportunities for our congregation to lend a hand in the community or around the world, sharing the love Christ.

Prayer

We are a community of faith that affirms the importance of prayer. We remember the promise of Philippians 4:6-7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (NKJV).
